"CALACAREY GOLDEN RETRIEVERS"
Treloyhan, Church Road, Perranarworthal, Nr. Truro, Cornwall, TR3 7QE

Hello and welcome to the home of “Calacarey Golden Retrievers.” My name is Sheenagh Gebhard and I live in the heart of the county of Cornwall, with my husband and son and our four gorgeous golden girls, Storm, Reilly, Shiloh and Kelsey.

Inland, the surrounding rural countryside provides a perfect playground of woods, rivers, fields and farmland.

My love and enthusiasm for this beautiful breed, began like so many others with the arrival of one tiny bundle of cream fluff. Storm, instantly stole our hearts and firmly established herself as a much loved and cherished family pet. She has an abundance of love and willingness to please. She is gentle, biddable, smart and sassy and utterly adored by all who meet her. Three and a half years later, “smiley” Reilly joined our home and all of the above could be equally used to describe her character and temperament. Both have a strong natural “flushing out” and “retrieving” instinct particularly in the water, where, as you can see from the photo gallery – they spend a fair amount of their time!

When Reilly turned two and a half, I decided I’d like to try my hand at showing and after careful consideration was lucky enough to secure “pick of the litter” from the Merrick’s renowned “Stormerick” kennel. On Shiloh’s arrival, the peace and tranquility of our house was instantly turned up side down! This feisty, bold, beautiful, platinum blonde, bound into the house like a “Class A” Diva and determinedly set about winning her way very quickly to top dog position. Reilly was captivated from the start and the two were inseparable. Storm studiously ignored her for ten days until she realized she was to be a permanent fixture in our home and resigned herself gracefully to being pounced upon, chewed and sharing her bed. How she has made us laugh with her exuberance and zest for living and much to my delight, she’s also caught the eye of the occasional judge…… If you like what you see and would like to make comment, please sign my guest book, or alternatively you can contact me by email or phone as per details given under the contact section.
