About Us

Hello and welcome!

Over the past twenty-five years we have shared our house and home with nine gorgeous golden girls.

On the odd occasion we have bred, one always stays to carry on the lineage where we hope to maintain (and desire to improve) the breed standard both in health and temperament.

Sadie & ‘The Crew’

Sadie is our Matriarch and grand old dame. She’s currently living very much in the twilight zone, so every day with a golden oldie is special. My mantra is, “that they are not here for a long time, but a good time” and I hope having captured their lives in glorious technicolour, this is testament to that belief. We have her beautiful granddaughter “Roxy” who is a glorious deep burnished gold as is her half sister “Layla.” Both have dark chestnut brown eyes, perfectly black noses and lovely soft expressions. “Tamar” also carries a rich golden coat with creamy “britches” and feathers and is Layla’s dam.  She was bred and came to us by my good friend, Elaine Bond of the Trebell affix.  All are much loved family members with ages spanning an elderly thirteen and a half to a spirited two year old!

About Our home

Golden Retrievers in Cornwall

Here in the south west we are blessed with a stunning coastline, a spectacular ever-changing backdrop to long leisurely beachcombing wanders and regular romps in the sand, sea and surf. Inland, the surrounding rural countryside provides a perfect playground encompassing woodlands, rivers, meadows and moors ensuring our daily walks are challenging and diverse.

How it all began

‘Storm’

My love and enthusiasm for this beautiful breed began like so many others with the arrival of one tiny bundle of Cornish Cream fluff – “Storm”. This “once in a life time companion” instantly stole our hearts and firmly established herself as a beloved and cherished family member. She embraced every golden trait this breed is renowned for both in temperament and character – intelligent, gentle, willing, loyal, with a passion to please and abundance of love to bestow. I hope you will enjoy the little poetic and pictorial tribute of her life we shared together, illustrated in her own special section – “Storm’s Story”.
