My dear sweet “Sadie Babes” is today an elderly veteran very much living on borrowed time and the twilight zone. She is sadly riddled with arthritis and crock on all limbs. But… She still smiles and engages and thumps her tail as she day dreams of adventures long past and the best days of her youth.

In her prime, she was without exception, the eye catcher amongst her litter mates, such a sassy confidence, as if she knew her pretty paws were well and truly tucked up under our table long before that decision was made. She had a beautiful soft, champagne and honey coloured coat with dark expressive eyes and super black pigment. She was and is a dream to live with in temperament and character – intelligent, willing and biddable with a passion to please but still had a little cheeky boldness about her, displaying a healthy curiosity with every new encounter.
She was a leggy lean junior taking her time to mature to a bitch with beautiful lines and balance, good bone, lovely conformation and excellent top line and tail set.
She had such a happy, sunny nature and like all my aqua babes, was totally at home in any sea salt or fresh water environment.
She has given me many opportunities to capture her elegance, exuberance and out right effervescence, loving the camera and happy to entertain and pose.
She gave us a cracking litter of puppies in 2014 from which we kept our little “Purdie Pops,” who sadly crossed that all too famous “Rainbow Bridge” early September 2024. However, she has her own page and story to tell of a happy life well lived as a cherished member of the Calacarey Crew.
